Writing cyrillic LaTeX in the KOI8 encoding

Here you find two variants of a sample Russian--English LaTeX file, one written in the KOI8 cyrillic encoding, the other in latin transliteration.

The KOI8 encoding

The file Moroz_koi8.tex contains the LaTeX source code. It also sets up (Mule-)Emacs to display the cyrillic letters correctly and switches the input method to cyrillic-jcuken, i.e. turns your keyboard into a standard russian one. Note that this may not work with X-Emacs.

LaTeX's output looks like this.

[Note that `eval:' lines like the one used to switch the keyboard are bad style and should only be used if really necessary: We don't want Emacs to become an agars for viruses like most M$ products ;-)]

The OT2 (latin) transliteration

The file Moroz_OT2.tex contains the LaTeX source code.

LaTeX's output looks like this.

For convenience, I also add a list of OT2 transliteration characters and sequences in PostScript (and here is the corresponding source file).
